Alator Capital is the start-up fundraising arm of the Entrepreneurs Collective (EC). Launched in 2019, EC is a community of founders and investors, created for the purpose of providing support and guidance for all on their entrepreneurial journey. Alator Capital is the place our members will come for all the of their fundraising needs.

The aim of Alator Capital is to help startups grow through investment. To do that, Alator utilises its network of Angel Investors, VCs Family Offices and Seed Funds, alongside its deep rooted connections with startups, to create a bridge, connecting the two and making fundraising a more efficient process.

Founder & CEO
Michael Blakeley is a lawyer, founder & entrepreneur. With over 20 years experience in Legal, M&A, Fundraising, Investment, Compliance, Data Protection. Michael has worked at blue chip organisations such as Freshfields, UK Competition Authority, TATA and the Kinnevik Group.
Michael has a long track record of supporting and closing fundraising deals, working on 30+ M&A Deals and Fundraises with a combined entreprise value of over £1BN.
Nick David
Principal
Nick David has extensive fundraising experience in the technology, wellness, and life science sectors, offering strategic advice to early and growth-stage businesses.
Outside of Alator, Nick works part-time as a Venture Partner of a US deep tech VC. An Oxford University graduate, Nick’s academic prowess complements his forward-thinking approach, making him a vital contributor to the evolving landscape of tech and wellness.
Antonio Borges
Finance Director
Antonio is a seasoned executive with extensive experience working with VC investors, corporate ventures and startups from inception to exit. His expertise includes leading and advising on capital raising, joint ventures, partnerships, and M&A.
As a strategy consultant, he has guided major European and Global companies in sectors like energy, technology, telecoms, financial services, and media through strategy development, innovation, performance improvement and growth.
Jamilah Jaffer
Investment Associate
Jamilah Jaffer is an Investment Associate at Alator Capital, who has previously worked at as an associate and analyst in prestigious financial institutions like BNP Paribas and Citi for over 4 years.
Jamilah’s career reflects a strong combination of finance expertise and a passion for entrepreneurship. Her educational background includes studying at St Andrews and Université Paris-Sorbonne, which has significantly contributed to her understanding of the global business landscape.
